Four questions and a 12-minute sample of Reading and Writing. You get the sub-test where your time pays most and one task sized to the minutes you have between shifts.
Straight answers
Does every profession use the same practice?
Reading is shared, as in the test. Writing and Speaking follow your profession: choose any of the 12 professions at the top of those pages. OET test overview
Do I need 350 in every sub-test?
It depends on who receives your scores. The NMC (UK nursing) and ECFMG (US medicine) currently list 350 in Listening, Reading and Speaking and 300 in Writing. Other organisations set their own numbers. NMC OET requirements
Can I combine two sittings?
The NMC allows two sittings within 12 months if every score meets its floor. ECFMG takes all four scores from one administration. The checker shows both rules and links to them. ECFMG OET requirements
Are these official OET materials?
No. Every text, case and card is original practice with fictional patients, written to the format in the OET handbook. Use OET's own sample tests alongside it. OET teachers handbook
Will this teach clinical care?
No. It is English exam practice. Use only the fictional information on each card and in each set of notes. Do not enter real patient details.
Why is Listening not playable?
The questions are written, but the recordings are not made yet. Reading a script instead would practise reading, so Listening opens when real audio exists.
